Special Dossier: DEATH – REFERENCES

A grande diferença entre imaginário e referência está no timing. Se é verdade que o imaginário vem ao nosso encontro (quando crianças ou adolescentes) acredito que as referências se constroem e somos nós que as buscamos. Contamos então com uma estrutura de pensamento e valores estabelecidos que se fundamentam a partir deste mesmo imaginário já adquirido.
Penso entretanto, que nas referências não há o elemento surpresa, pelo menos não com a mesma força e influência características do imaginário.

The biggest difference between imaginary and reference is timing. If it is true that the imaginary comes thru us (when children or adolescents) I do believe that references are constructed and it’s us who search them. We have a structure of thought and values which are established as the basis of this imaginary already acquired. I think however, that for the references there isn’t the surprise element, at least not with the same strength and persuasion of the imaginary.
