TRANSGENDER

Este armário, foi o primeiro armário a ficar pronto.
O que me deixou extasiado, e mais, recompensado e satisfeito, foi a forma como a autora percebeu esta proposta, entregando-me um armário cheio de alma e conteúdo, em cartão, segundo as suas próprias palavras “tão precário quanto a situação do Festival”.
Há momentos na vida em que uma ideia parece ultrapassar-se a si própria. A fragilidade e a força transmitidas por esta obra, por analogia, reproduzem fielmente a situação transgender.
A palavra certa é: “garra”.
A comunidade transgender é a primeira e a mais corajosa a dar a cara, embora exuberante e colorida, a lutar de forma muito séria e digna.

This was the first closet to be completed.
What enraptured me, what made me feel rewarded and fulfilled, was the way by which its author understood the proposal, delivering me a closet full of soul and meaning, card-made, and, according to her own words, “as fragile as the festival’s current situation.”
There are moments in life when a concept seems to surpass itself. Both the fragility and the power that emanate from this work, by analogy, faithfully illustrate the transgender issues.The appropriate word is: “strength”.
The transgender community is the first and most courageous to show its face, although exuberant and colourful, fighting in the most serious and dignified way.
