Kunstmuseum Basel: The Collection - Ferdinand Hodler





Ferdinand Hodler is definitely my favoutite Swiss painter.

Ferdinand Hodler’s landscapes include some of the most beautiful examples of the genre from the turn of the 20th century – from his famous images of the mountain peaks, valleys and lakes of the Berner Oberland and Lake Geneva to his subtle, detail studies of trees, streams and stones.

The Kunstmuseum Basel owns one of the largest and most important collections of the work of Ferdinand Hodler. You can see above some of them:
